A moment to remember

Again from Wiki peida

Divided into four segments, A Moment to Remember follows the theme of discovery in a relationship and the burdens of loss caused by Alzheimer's disease.
The first segment of the film, staged in romantic comedy style, introduces the protagonists, a woman named Su Jin and a man named Chul Soo. The movie highlights their accidental meeting in a convenience store and confusion over a can of soda, followed by their subsequent courting despite the social standings that should have kept them apart.
The second segment follows the couple now settling into married life. Su-Jin learns to be a housewife as her husband cares for her. But as the segment progresses, Su-jin begins to display forgetfulness, including an incident in which a fire breaks out because of a forgotten stove. While Chul Soo caught the fire in time, the seriousness of the incident and others draw them to seek medical help.
The third segment involves the revelation of Alzheimer's disease and the couple's consequent response to it. Su Jin is heavily burdened by the knowledge that she will forget her husband and hides it from him at first until he seeks advice from the doctor himself. Despite the disease, they make the commitment to stay together and as the disease progresses, the trials the couple go through increase because of Su Jin's forgetfulness.
The fourth segment reveals Su-jin in the final stages of the disease and the grief Chul Soo experiences because of it. Yet he remains beside her, despite her lost memory, hiding his eyes behind sunglasses when he visits her so she can't see his tears.
The end of the movie finishes off with Chul Soo replaying the first time they met in the convenience store with all her friends and family in the store. Chul Soo takes her back to the retirement home as they are driving off he finally tells her he loves her.

If I am able to find a love such as this, I'll work hard to remember our love, or help my love one remember our love, making every moment a moment to remember...but I'd still want to live longer than my love one, because the one whose left behind and all alone will be the sadder one. I won't want my loved one to bear such sadness...

Cried till my contacts dropped out!

Sad movie..

Haha... I am lazy to do the Synopsis myself, therefore kapok-ed this from wikipedia.
The film focuses on the stories about four relationships and their trials, pains, heartaches, and subsequent separations. The plot lines eventually connect in some way, but they remain unrelated for the most part.

The first story tells of a firefighter and his girlfriend named Su-Jung who works in a TV station as a news translator for the mute. She's waiting for him to propose, focused on the rationale that given his dangerous job, she likes the idea of him having to think of her, to hesitate for a while before jumping into danger. He, on the other hand, is waiting for that perfect opportunity, setting and all, before popping the question. The second story is about a mute girl who works as a costume character in a theme park. There she meets a young artist who she begins to develop feelings for quickly; yet refuses to take off her mask in front of him for quite some time. The third story is of a mother and child. The mother was too busy to spend time with her young son, until an illness confines her to a hospital bed. There the mother and son begin to communicate more and more. Lastly, the story of a boy and girl who have just broken up. The girl's reason being that she needs a more stable guy with a good job. The unemployed ex-boyfriend goes off and finds himself a job helping other couples break up. Hoping that if he earns enough money, he could woo his loved one back.
The gist of this movie is to tell and remind us how precious, yet fragile, time and life can be. It also talks about human nature, and how jaded a lover's perception to the other can become... the way things happen and life sometimes just isn't fair...

Too much dreams...

There are too much dreams for too long a time...ARUGH....I keep feeling sleepy where ever I go and my parents are feeling the wrath of my heated liver. Guilt then starts creeping up into me everytime it happens...

Had another series of dreams last night, which became more of like a nightmare in the end. On pure coincidence, I met the main character for last night's dreams (someone whom I already knew) on the streets just now... and to think that I was just thinking about the same dream when we met. Though it was the same person, but the scenario and situation was different. Had a short chat before both of us had to rush off...

If a nightmare can turn out well... does that mean that the good dream I had earlier on will not turn out to be the way I wanted it to be?

Heartwarming messages to those working on the front line...

Hope they all get home safe~

So hot..Can't SLEEP!

I need my sleep!!!

But the night's too hot!!!

So I started going through some of MSN news again and found this article: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24777532/ - Its about a Woman who wakes up after her family says goodbye and pulled the plug.

Miracles do happen ^.^

This makes me wonder if a miracle could have happened if my mother and my relatives have decided to continue the fight on with my Grandmother's terminal cancer after her heart stopped.
I heard from my cousin when I was very young... that they could have restarted her heart with a blot of electricity. They choose otherwise.

Hmmmx... what if they restarted her heart again and then a miracle happened and grandma just sit up all healthily again? After all these years I still miss her... wonder how is grandma now...is she high up there watching over us?

Dramas~

I'm beginning to switch from animes to dramas and movies now...

Just finished watching The Quarrel and Virgin Snow...

Dead tired...

Gonez to sleep...

ZzzZzzzZzzz...

Children are so fun and innocent!

Children!!! Little kids!!! These pictures are bond to make you laugh!

Today while working at Watsons, a little girl, carrying a packet of Woods Lozenges, ran up to her Mommy and asked: Mommy can we buy this?

Mommy: No dear, this is for people with cough. Put it back...

So off the good little girl went and she put back the Woods Lozenges, only to pick up packet of Gummy Bears. Running back to her mom, she asked again: Mommy, then can we buy this?

Mommy: NTUC cheaper, we go NTUC buy better... please put it back~

So off again ran the little girl, putting back the gummy bears... and picking up another packet of sweets. She went to her mom again and asked again: What about this?

Mommy: No dear. This is for headache. Put it back.

I guess the little girl's mommy ran out of excuses!

Its good to have friends ^.^

Yesterday was a very terrible day... was unhappy with a change in my job scope from being a merchandiser (which I truly enjoyed alot) to being a promoter at John Little (where I know there is not much crowd there). Next was the immense stress from my Business Manager responsibilities, especially when I am doing a one-man show. Lastly, and the most depressing of all, I was told that my email reply to the Hall Fellow's recommendations list did not get thru. Worst, it was not even in the sent box so even my my Hall President tried to help me, he could not do much too. Gary was very nice though... thanks for the help. ^.^

Do I really have to go? I really love my room , hall 4 and Alice....

Today was abit better though. I only had to report to work at 11am, and at 4pm, because there was not much customers around ( it was like 10 promoters or one customers at John Little and I was getting pushed around), and I was being brought back to do merchandising again! =D Really enjoy the work. I'd enjoy being a promoter if there are customers around for me to talk to, otherwise I'll be wasting the company's money instead... paying me while I can't do much to help the company's sales.

Too bad I'll stop work next month, there are too many things I need to complete... especially my Business Manager stuffs.

Today's embarrassing moment:

I saw a whole range or colourful packages hanging from one of the shelves at Yew Tee Guardian... they are packaged so nicely, I thought they were colourful foldable bags, you know, those that can be recycled. I picked up one and turned to the back, hoping for a displayed view of how the unfolded product would be like.

It was only when, while reading the description, did I realised those are actually condoms. X.X

When I thought I could just put back that thing in my hands and run away Scott-free, I realised its not easy to hang it back after one pulled it out. So, in my struggle, one helpful staff came over and asked if I needed help.

There goes my *Embarrassed and RUN* plan...

ROAR!!!!!!!!

It's good to have friends when you are feeling down. Thanks alot to those who left me encouraging messages last night and in the morning!!! MuACkS!!!

Canteen 9

I just got back from dinner at Canteen 9... gosh is the place so hard to find! I guess its becoz I've naver taken the 199 bus before... and I was well cursed by Yong Yong the bird ( He got a fair share of my middle finger and KNN trainings too)...

Being 40 mins late =P, I treated them to a smoothie each. Canteen 9 has changed alot and the food there is much nicer too! The smoothies are great... I've got Kiwi smoothie, and got a Banana Milk Shake, Papaya smoothie and Cocoa smoothie for Cheng Liang, the Bird and Chee Siang.

The western food there is not bad too, really fills one to the brim!

China's Quake vs Cyclone Nargis

I've just gotten back from Cameron Highlands less than 2 days ago... It was real fun and stronger friendship were forged and created.

However I will post the pictures taken from Cameron Highlands later...for the whole of yesterday when I'm back I've been looking at the latest news and updates on the two devastating natural events and also on kidney stones, which one of my dear friend have unfortunately developed...

I've read through countless articles from various nations and reports prove the same verdict: The two disasters tells two completely different tales.

It is evident that Myanmar is unable to cope with the disaster. There are bloated bodies still floating on the waters and people sitting beside whatever that is left of their home... The stench of death hits one right into the face...Why should they be selective on the aid that they can receive? Allowing only certain organisations to help them when there are planes and truck full of relief aid and volunteers waiting for permission to enter the country? Criticisms are everywhere, but why can't they just listen?

The actions on Myanmar Military Junta and the decisions of their generals are totally inhumane. They are still controlling their borders, sceptical of influences from what they call the outside world...

China's spontaneous reaction could be well described as a model in efforts for disaster relief. Their reaction this time could be well commended as compared to Sars and the Tangshan earthquake. China has moved into modern times, opening their boarders to volunteers and aid, dispatching relief workings within as hour of the disaster. Although there have been sceptics on why buildings feel so easily, especially schools, and accusations on local corruptions, China has nothing to be ashamed of this time unlike those generals and military Junta.

There are many pictures and videos all around the Internet covering the China Quake... but I decided to just post this one up instead. It depicts Hope amidst the disaster.. showing images of students and people being rescued among the unfortunate ones...

As of now, 8 days after the quake...rescue hopes are diminishing with people still trapped in the debris of the earthquake... here are more footage from BBC special news - http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_depth/7397838.stm

Below is a video of The aftermath of Cyclone Nargis...

Myanmar got to break through that political red tape...

Let's Start From Here

giving up, why should i
come to far to forget
beautiful,
we just got lost somewhere along the way
so much was missing when you went away
let's start from here, lose the past change our minds,
we don't need a finish line
let's take this chance not think too deep
of all those promises we couldn't seem to keep
i don't care where we go
let's start from here
standing here face to face
a finger on your lips
don't say a word don't make a sound
silence surrounds us now
even when you were gone i felt you everywhere
let's start from here, lose the past change our minds,
we don't need a finish line
i've never been the one to open up
but you've always been the voive within
the only warmth from my cold heart
let's start from here, lose the past change our minds,
we don't need a finish line
let's take this chance not think too deep
of all those promises let's start from here,
lose the past change our minds
we don't need a finish line
let's take this chance not think too deep
of all those promises we couldn't seem to keep
i don't care where we go
let's start from here
let's start from here
let's start from here
let's start from here
my hope... my wish...

Wei Jia wanted this up here!!!
So here you go! The lyrics are good too!

Dummy ME!

Just afew days ago I gave one of my customers the wrong POSB account number to deposit the payment into... today I went all the way to Changi for a job interview only to find out that it is at KOVAN!!!!

Arrr!!!!! Dummy me... how dumb can anyone get!!! GOSH!

Went to HEY HEY Steamboat just now...went there two weeks ago and tried their Winter Melon Soup. This time my mom wants shark's bone soup... but the pics are with daddy... will try to upload them later!

I'm BACK!!! Here are the thing that we ate! It was meant to be a belated Mother's Day celebration since everyone is busy and we could only celebrate on Tuesday. The sushi and the small small crab were free items! The pictures are taken with my dad's Nokia N73 camera! My sickening brother was like pestering us to be faster with the pictures when my dad and I were trying to take good shots!

I had another dinner at Miss Clarity Cafe again with Geoffery yesterday! Our verdict: Stick to the meat when you are at there. Pasta... perhaps you'ld prefer Pastamania's one more. No pictures on this one!

Outing after dinner with Geoffery was fun yesterday! Tried on afew white dresses which made me look like either a chamber maid or a nurse!!! Gosh!!! Geoffery even commented that I can consider being a nurse!!! Perhaps I should be transferring to medical studies now!

Feeling better!

Finally my fever is down and I have the strength to post something!

This was supposed to be a Friday post where I went to Sunshine Plaza to visit a friend's shop. I was on a look out for Hematite and was directed by John to Harmony Gems - A wonderful shop with a wonderful lady shop owner with a wonderful personality!

I found my Hematite there, but they were in the form of pebbles and I can't make anything out of them. While having a chat with the lady shop keeper, I told her that John was telling me about some 'Energy' that he feels when he walks into the shop... but I guess I am not up to that level yet to feel anything....

She then passed me some raw Black Tourmaline and put it in my hand. The lady told me to concentrate on the stone and feel it for a few minutes... then she left~ ( Shan't go on telling what I felt... It's unexplainable and I'm not quite sure if it's the energy that John is talking about! Feel for yourself!) When the lady came back, she put two rose quartz on the table and asked me which one I like. I pointed at the clearer one and to my surprise, she packed it up, passed it to me and said: " This is for you!" I was like... Really?! That's so nice of her!!! I was really really very touched... life has been really tough this year and a little act of kindness can really make me cry...

Here is the Rose Quartz that the lady gave me (I've got to try remembering her name...)

I went on to choose my Black Tourmaline (Right Below) and Hematite (The pebble shaped one)... Here are the pictures of the stones I've bought!

This is the final product of my Black Tourmaline Necklace! I'm gonna print out the photo and give it to the lady next week!!! Together with some cookies! =D

>YES IT DOES!!! I was totally amazed when the waitress told me so!!!

If this crab has enough strength, it would have climbed out of it's tank with it's long legs and run halter scatter back into nature... the sad truth is that, it's gonna be a delicacy on the restaurant table soon....

But NO.. I'm not turning vegetarian.

THIS is a FLAT FISH!!! And it's so flat, I wonder how much meat can we get out of em'! Fish fillet anyone?

We talked and talked and talked... and... somehow... after crossing a bridge... we got LOST!!! *standard at a bus stop*...

so we decided that we should just take a bus back to Clementi MRT anyway!

It was nice to be able to share my thoughts and feelings...at the same time, learn more about people and their characters too. It made me ponder abit, but I guess I knew it all along and I accept the way people just are, on the simple fact that I hold them dear to me. Things sound so familiar... so close to me, yet....too far for me to reach out to it anymore...
