Second Paper + Vietnam briefing

Second paper was a Killer. and killed. Brutally...

All I can say is I glad I allocated time for BM212 yesterday. Looking back the the way I thought the paper would be, there is no point going any further into my study scope.

The Vietnam Business Trip Briefing later in the afternoon cheered me up alittle... at least I know that I will enjoy my time there. It sounds totally interesting and fun and No Doubt, I will be blogging the trip. I hope I can bring my laptop there since there is wireless in all the hotels that we will be staying in. I will most probably need my laptop for my Loreal Case Competition too. December is gonna be busy but fun and I do hope it will be fulfilling!

- A note of achievement >> I did something which I never thought I would accomplish myself -

It is relatively simple for most guys and some people... but definitely not for me. As what Nam Khai said, I know alot of chim IT stuffs.. but not the simple ones like fixing the printer with a jammed paper. BUT I DID IT! I accomplished this amazing feat at 11.40pm at SAC yesterday. Actually I did gave up once, but a SMS from Khai said to try taking out the printer cartridge. And I did, got my hands all inky (black).. and viola! There's the jammed paper! I bet the guy who jammed the printer missed out on this humongous sense of achievement I got! Thanks dear!

Here are some things that I hope I can get out from the Vietnam trip~
  1. Contacts for future business, particularly in the text tile industry
  2. Note the property conditions there
  3. Take note of interesting innovative ideas that can be brought back to Singapore. Remember how the idea of hermit crabs with painted shells that hit the news? Haha!

Okey. I'll start on BM212 after 15 mins of facebook. =D

I need a mouse

Shawn: I need a mouse
Yunz: Try leaving a slice of cheese on your table!
Shawn: -.-"

First Paper!!!

Left hall at 8.45am for my 9am paper... it's my FIRST paper!!! I was excited because its means a beginning to the end of exams... yet I was anxious coz... simply put - its the exams duh SO...I left hall and started the 10 mins (or so) walk to Nanyang Audi... enjoying the morning and the fresh air bla bla bla....

8.55pm, I stood outside the overwhelming building. A check at the diary for my index number indicated 123 (fake), Hall X SRC. Yay. SRC.

Huh...

SRC??!!!

Immediately, as if my legs have a mind on its own... they started to walk away from NANYANG AUDI and move towards the SPORTS RECREATION CENTRE... as my eyes and mind remained stoned to the wordings in the diary...

haiz...

Ran and was about 5mins late. Not too bad... just that I got a real bad stomachache from the run (it happens). Bared with it through the paper (glad I did coz there wasn't enough time) and then rushed to the toilet, leaving my bag and books at the shelf where it was. Finally... after *ahem ahem* i felt so relieved! So I stepped out and walked towards the shelf. It's empty. Gawld... where the hell did my bag GO!?! Luckily I had my handphone with me! A check revealed that it has been taken to the campus security... VERY near to the beloved NANYANG auditorium.

Haiz...

Lunch was at Jurong Point... Seafood Phad Thai at Siam Kitchen. The food was truly splendid... at a good price too.. but I could not enjoy it... such a pity... The later part of the day was good though. I went on to buy a new mascara, lost it at Xue'er's place afew weeks ago. Combed Watson, Guardian... but went to SaSa instead as they do not have promoters around to help me with my decision. And Boy AM I SO GLAD!!!! that I choose to purchase from Sasa. I was just trying out a new mascara from Japan that a staff recommended, then another staff offered to help me. Well, we all feel the superiority while being served and having someone do a makeup for you, even if its just a simple mascara application.

What started off from a simple mascara help turned into a free eye-brows trimming session and a quick make-over! Apparently they were having some promotion so as long as you get something (well, even if you do not I don't think they can do anything... its' more of a marketing tactic) or intend to get something, they'll do it for you for free! I got my mascara from Japan in the end. Makes a happy day =)

Dropped over at HL and Xue's place for abit... talked about some competition stuffs and some HTHT. The good old days =) I hope we can remain like this forever... common friends who listen to one another and have someone to look for. I still remember the Egg Noodle that Xue brought for my lunch before a accounting quiz. I still remember the days when I occasion HL's room for mini Kbox sessions.

I hope I'll still remember these fond moments! And I'm sure I will since I've blogged it down here ^.^

BIkeS BiKEs BIKES...

Nam Khai is so crazy over bikes -.-" he looks at the forum every hour for at least an hour!

And this is what he found.

This is what the owner said:

From: LodgeDJ Nov-10 8:51 pm To: ALL (1 of 11) 4514.1

There are just too many 1300s on the road now, I don't feel unique or special anymore. That why I traded for this...a one-of-a-kind model that is unlikely to ever be repeated. It's surprisingly smooth and powerful, plus, it really seems to bring great joy into the lives of everyone that sees it, hence all the extremely gleeful laughter. Parts may be hard to find but it seems so well constructed that I don't think it'll be an issue.
Try to control your jealously please, let's all be grown-ups here.

Finally I have something about bikes that I found interesting. It left a smile on my face too! LOLS!

Dear guys and Dear girls

Dear guys: BE WHO YOUR ARE! You did too well during courtship only to realise that you are not able to sustain such 'goodness' during the relationship. Both parties will suffer!

Dear girls: BE WHO YOU ARE! Let the guy know what type of girl you are during courtship so that he will know what to expect and not complain too much during the relationship. You will win!

MUAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Some funny videos!

Consumer behaviour txbk

Some interesting stuffs from my Consumer Behaviour Marketing textbook by Micheal R. Soloman Eigth Edition page 358~

Labels provide valuable information about the proper way to use products, but sometimes that can be less than clear. Here are some examples of 'interesting' labels.

  • On a Conair Pro Style 1600 hair dryer; WARNING: Do not use in shower. Never use while sleeping.
  • Instructions for folding up a portable baby carriage: Step 1: Remove Baby My personal Fav.
  • A rest stop on a Wisconsin highway: Do not eat urinal cakes.
  • On a bag of Fritos: You can be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside.
  • On some Swanson frozen dinners: Serving suggestion: Defrost
  • On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert ( printed on bottom of box): Do not turn upside down
  • On Marks and Spencer bread pudding: Product will be hot after heating.
  • On packaging for a Rowenta Iron: Do not iron clothes on body
  • On Nytol sleeping aid: Warning: May cause drowsiness.

Well I should have bought this textbook much earlier... can read it as a source of stress relief! It's like totally different from the research methods book. Totally bore me out.

And... I am way behind my planned study schedule. Super unproductive. I spend one day on one chapter of the textbook. Got to speed up.

GOOD NEWS: My Nokia7390 is finally repaired!!! That's like... after more than 3 months!!! And of course, I'd have taken some photos by now!!!

Unfortunately, I just tried and the bluetooth is not working... -.-...

Watching James Bond 007 Quantum of the Solace ( I hope I got the whole thing right!) later. Hope it will be nice! It's been a long time since I last caught a movie. I am poor, economically and in time too.

Vietnam suspends plan to ban small-chested drivers

HANOI, Vietnam - Faced with mounting public criticism, Vietnam's Health Ministry suspended a widely ridiculed plan to ban short, thin and small-chested drivers.

The ministry had recommended that people whose chests measure less than 28 inches (72 centimeters) be prohibited from driving motorbikes _ as well as those who are too short (less than 4 feet, 8 inches) or too thin (less than 88 pounds).

When the plan hit the media this week, it prompted disbelief and scorn among members of the public, who envisioned the police pulling over female drivers to measure their bust.

Thursday's state-run Tuoi Tre newspaper quoted ministry official Nguyen Huy Quang as saying the proposal would be suspended.

Reminded me of the ban against unnatural sex. It was lifted not long ago. ha.
