My NEWEST invention!!!

Disclaimer: I do not know how to cook, did not know how to cook, and am learning how to cook for the sake of those who might consume my home-cooked food in future! =P

Ingredients: MYOJO Mee Poh Dry (Spicy), Xiao Bai Cai, Meat Balls, Button Mushroom and Cucumber. I simply chopped up any remains that I could find in my fridge and stir fried them together in olive oil. Turned out totally unrepresentable...guess I'll need to stock up on some sauce if I were to ever whip up anything that looks edible! Oh! And rest assure, I am still alive and kicking with absolutely no rushes to the toilet =D

Next, presenting you with our Nanyang Technological University Cafe at the Quad's famous LAKSA!!!!

Just look at the thick gravy which is totally bursting with flavour! At $3, you get to enjoy such filling (It's a really big portion) and mouth savouring meal! They even have chunks of succulent chicken and a WHOLE hard boil egg! Do your maths and you'll know that the price does not do justice to this bowl of Laksa!!!

This happened two days ago:
I was sitting beside WQ for Accounting lecture and she was passing around this packet of Mentos. Quite randomly, she started to went into investigation mode with the Mentos box, opening and closing it, peering into the lid mechanism. After which, (she somehow managed to figure it out....) WQ was suddenly filled with delight and exclaimed about the intrinsic and ingenious design of the Mentos box lid. Haiz. WQ ar....how innocent can you ever get!

A picture of WQ posing with her ingenious Mentos Box. I suggested that she use her hair to cover her face since I will be posting this picture on my blog.

And presenting to everyone, WQ discovery. The flap under the lid that held everything in place!

I took a break from Wushu training today due a hall event and also due to a pulled 'jing' that runs from my left thigh to my backside. ( I know the description is gross but it is true!) I have injuries all over the place and I kept getting new ones. There are injuries that can be easily treated, old injuries that can be prevented and.... injuries that I have to depend on myself if I ever want to recover, injuries that will probably require a long period of time to heal.

Meanwhile, things are getting alittle easy going these days. I have been working on my time management and activities and even managed to play Volleyball today! It is really enjoyable to be playing with friends who laugh at your mistakes and your blunders and willingly teach you the correct method to play and hit the ball better. It really feels good to be in a team, to be 'together' and to be able to make mistakes. It is not like Wushu where I am all alone, doing my own routine and going solo. It's been really a long time since I last performed in a group. Those childhood days were memorable, unfortunately I was the only one who stayed. And when I thought that finally I could relived those days again, a distasteful twist of events brought everything back to square one. I should have just be more thoughtful for myself. I would rather that nothing had happened.

Oh! Those who owe me money! I know there is a handful of you! Please return me before Chinese New Year otherwise I'll have bad luck and you'll have a free pig head hanging on your door on the first morning of Chinese New Year!!! This note is in red because it is REALLY important!!!

Return me my MONEY!

Funny Videos!

*DOG BEWARE!!!*

If this 'Dog like thing' ever shows up in front of me, I'll strangle it even before it starts to try 'communicating' with me....

SCARY!!!

Awwwww!!! Just look at how adorable these babies are!!! Way to go little boy! You've got the patience, you've got your girl! =D

The end was alittle disturbing..>.<>

Now for the Real March of the Penguins...

And why am I blogging at this time of the day? I was supposed to get my new Wushu shoes and sword right now, however the shop will only open at 2pm today and Wen Zhong will not be free by then.... haiz...

Next week then!

Yunz

FINALLY!!!!

FINALLY!!!

Finally.....

FINALLY!!!!

Finally I have the time to BLOG!~

It has been a really hectic week, clearing and compiling surveys till 2am, catching up with my studies, (This semesters' core modules are going to be hard on me. They are mostly mathematical based subjects and I am really poor in calculative problems!), Wushu, going to and fro from home to prepare for our CHINESE NEW YEAR celebration, rushing everywhere for meetings... I'm going to join the ranks of the Pandas soon!

Today was a good day though. I managed to get my full 8 hours of sleep last night, which was truly a luxury for me given that I had less than 4 hours of sleep for the last 6 days! I went through the FIRST tutorial (That's how much I am lagging behind!) of my Financial Management course and cooked Stir-fried Tofu with Egg for lunch! It's the first time I cooked this dish and it turned out rather well given that I did not have any spices or sauces to go with it. Yong Hua, who happened to be cooking instant noodles in the same pantry, commented that it smells great! Well, it's of no wonder since tofu and eggs are one of my favourite food! =D

After which, I rushed for my hip-hop dance class.

A very sorry to my wonderful hall dance people; I had to make a choice due to clash of practise timings with my own commitments and conflicts in body memory (Not sure if Cindy had explained this major part!). However, I will still support all of you with my handy video camera ya! ^.^ JIA YOU JIA YOU JIA YOU! I have absolute confidence in all of you and I am sure that with our dance classes and great new members, you guys will eventually present a fabulous and exhilarating dance and WOW your audiences!

HALL 4 DANCE ALL THE WAY!!! =D

After which, I had another rush of time - Beach Volleyball in the evening. Well, amidst my rush, I made another silly, stupid, -.- mistake.

As I tried to make my way out of the dance room in lightning speed (I only had 10 minutes to pack and shower before meeting Yong Hua), I took Joseph's bunch of keys by mistake and threw them into my bag. Upon reaching my room, I quickly packed my shower basket and headed for the toilet. At this point of time, Alice stopped me and told me to bring my keys as she will be leaving the room soon. So... I immediately dug my bag for MY keys and recklessly felt 'My keys'. It was only when I got back from the shower did I realised, "IS THIS MY BUNCH OF KEYS????!!!! OH MY GAWLD!!!!!". I had taken Joseph's keys and for the THIRD time in 3 weeks, VIOLA!... I am locked out of my own room.

Fortunately and always lucky as I am ^.^, Ling Ling our neighbour was around and I called Alice whom, with another gracious gesture from Lady Luck, was having her dinner at our hall's canteen!!!!

The second time it happened, Alice was at Canteen 5, not too far away either!

Beach Volleyball was fun and totally amazing! Imagine a beach volleyball court with real SoFt WhITe sand amidst a neighbourhood in Clementi! I was totally stunned at such an amazing and wonderful sight! (will upload a picture soon!) It's like a piece of heaven on earth! (At least for me!)

We had afew good games all the way till 10pm when the lights went out. After which I rushed back to hall to compile the second hand-ins of the survey forms from my fellow orientation main-commers. Thanks to Brian and Chongster, I managed to clear everything before 1am, saving some time before sleep to blog. =D

As for tomorrow, I will be meeting Wen Zhong ( My all time almost 10 years best friend and Jiao Lian) to purchase my new Wushu shoes and broadsword! The current broadsword that I am holding on now was bought when I was 11 years old and it has really became too short for standard Wushu competition rules and regulation. The top portion is chipped too. This broadsword was my VERY first weapon and I am still proud of the way it shines and how my childhood memories are related to it... Those days were of true innocence and fun, where my friendship with my fellow Wushu mates were based so much on loyalty...

I miss those days...

Lastly, after getting my new Wushu stuffs, I will be getting my new spectacles as well! And I swear I am going to wear them often. With all those late nights and constant stares on the computer, my eyes might give me serious problems from prolonged wearing of contact lenses!

Ok... that's all for now! I will upload picture of my New Spectacles Vs my Old Spectacles soon too!

Night!

A tiring saturday

My Saturday afternoon was super enjoyable! Wee was super spontaneous! Guess that's what friends are for ya! We were supposed to be shopping for New Year clothes, but I went home empty handed instead because we spent most of the 3 hours setting themes and choosing clothes for each other, then squeezing into the dressing room for camera poses!!!

Here are some of the pictures~

Chinese New Year Theme! ( of course!) and I am really considering the top!

Sporty Theme! (We went into the converse shop in the pretext of getting costumes for our next 'hip-hop performance - - - it was all a Hoax of course! =D )

Our Personal Favourite: Espirit!!!! Wee says I look super cool and handsome in that black turtle neck top and tight fitting 3-quarters. I'm also considering this set and break through traditions!!! Happy Black New Year!!!! YAY!!!

Next theme: Also in Espirit, Business Wear!!!

And...... for the last picture I am going to display...*drumrolls*.....It's 'BeeEEerring~* CoLd Theme!!!

I went to join my NTU wushu team peps at Cafe Cartel after all the fun. The food was splendid and delicious! I had KING PORK RIBS and OF COURSE! MY PASTA!!!! Ho Ho HOOO!!!

After which we went to the open area at the second level and played The inspector and the Mafia! Surprisingly, Ardy was a fabulous game master! I almost suspected this game was created by him! Although he had afew slips of the tongue, but it made the whole game tremendously fun and exciting! Oh! I got to be inspector number 2 at the last round, but I was 'killed' by my own civilians. *soBs*

Lastly, I missed this morning's Wushu training because I slept late, rushing through some project and could not wake up in the end. Now it's time to get back to my work and studies...ARUGH!!!! ROAR!!!!!!

Physically Tired, Mentally Tired, Emotionally Tired

I am the luckist girl on earth. (edited)

I have always thought that I am the luckiest girl on earth. I had and have always been, even till now.

This morning can be considered the lowest point of my whole life in NTU. It's like I am riding on a roller coaster, just that somehow or rather, it got stuck at ground level along the way and the coaster have not even reached the end point yet.

However as history always repeats itself, I got picked up again and the coaster is given a boost of energy, allowing me, the one sitting at the front seat, to see and know that I am reaching a destination.

It's also just like how I always lose my way around the gigantic NTU looking for my tutorial or lecture theaters, but JuSt somehow I always meet a friend along the way who directed me to the right place. How more lucky can anyone be?

It's my blessing to be picked up and directed by a special friend. We talked into the night at a coffee shop and there are a few things that I realised. At least I know what my next step should be now. There are things I need to clear, decisions to be made, wrongs to be admitted and apologies to be expressed. With all these, actions have to be done and I hope I can slowly correct myself along the way, hopefully with the help of my dearest one, as my dearest one...

But I have to accept it if things do not go out the way I want to. It's not too late, just that... I am already late.

Facing the truth, doing what I think is right

Thank you Swee...

This year's forecast

DRAGON

General
Though you will have many opportunities in terms of promotions, bestowed more responsibilities or the expansion of your business (This may be a que to set up my business blog all over again!) this year, there are more challenges ahead compared to the year of the Pig. You will be busier than usual (overly busy I think...) but not necessary fruitful due to severe people problems. (GOSH!) There will be more misunderstandings, betrayals, back-stabbings, and disputes this year.(*Sobs sobs* I have difficulties dealing with all these de...people be nice to me ok?! =D) Hence, it is important to watch your back. Do not participate in any gossip corners and certainly avoid direct conflicts with others. There is also a high probability of being involved in legal situations. This year you might want to have more personal space. You will also be interested in religion, philosophy, metaphysics and other new age topics. (If I have the time....) This is a good year for those who are studying (GREAT! ^.^ ) or doing research.

Career
The authority figures, management or your boss are likely to give you more opportunities to show of your strengths this year. There are more chances of promotions or being given more responsibilities. If you are in business, you may be considering expanding your business. (Oh really?) You will be busy this year. However, severe office politics will prove to be very challenging for you. Avoid direct conflicts with others. This is the time to utilize your diplomatic skills. Do not trust anybody on the career front this year.

Wealth
Though your wealth luck is good this year, (Why is it that there is only one 2 dollar note and afew cents in my wallet???!!!) there is a concern of losing it through legal problems.(No wonder....) If you are investing this year, you must do your own homework and go through the fine print. Even if it means that you need to take a longer time and greater effort to study into it before making a decision, it will be worth it.

Relationship
For those who are attached or married, you may want to have more personal space this year. For those who are single, the probability of meeting someone special is rather slim. Hang in there. (HANG IN THERE!!!)

Health
You may suffer from lethargy (true) , gastric and stomach problems (TrUe!!! I'm having a tummy ache now! Toilet is my new best friend! ) , weak concentration and a short attention span (Tutorials...Lectures....SEMiNarS... ArugH!) . You may be more forgetful (Gosh! I am one forgetful one already! I hope I do not forget my shirt or pants or anything like that!) . Try to have adequate rest and be positive. Most of the health issues that will arise this year are due to people issues and being too stressed out. It may make you feel demoralized and even cause you to doubt yourself. Ensure that you surround yourself with a positive environment and positive people.

People
People problems are severe. Try to be humble (yes yes!) , diplomatic and tactful (Gary always tells me this! I am starting to wonder if he has a future in fortune-telling business!!) . Avoid getting into any direct conflicts with others. Back-stabbings, betrayals and misunderstandings are very common this year. While others are trying to irritate you, especially on the career front, it is important to understand that you need to focus on your own goals and do not let others offend or affect your emotions so easily.

Action
Place a Hematite and Aragonite in your office or home. (ANY SPONSORS?!!)

I usually do not enage myself in such tellings and forcasting but this time I can see some truth in this and it's fun replying to the forecast! =D

Down with flu, slight coughing and mild headache. Hope I can recover fast fast as there are many things in store for me these few weeks!

Jia You!

Rainbow at Quad!!! ^.^

I am so glad I choose to go Wushu! I had fun, got to work out and perspire, mingled with my fellow batch Wushu mates and SAW A RAINBOW!!!

I was abit down when I left Mama's room and heading towards the Quad because it was drizzling. If it starts to rain, we will have to move to Canteen B. Somehow I never liked training at Canteen B especially if we are going to work on circuit training and jogging. I was hoping and HoPing and HOPING that the rain will stop by the time I reach Quad. Sure it did!

Fellow clouds up there, Thank You for listening to my prayers!!! HAhA!!

The happiest thing: Not only did the rain stop, a lovely rainbow appeared and greeted us!!!

Took a picture of it and MMS-ed it to Gary and Mama. Mama, always having the motherly side of him, replied that 'it's a gd sign tt 2dy's trainin ll b a success!' Haha!

Boon Wee, hope this rainbow will make you feel better ya!

Oh yar... I have a new pet Panda! Ardelus has agreed to become my Panda! Yong Yong ar...this is called fate don't you see? HAR HAR HAR!!! =D

Smiling with the Rainbow,

Super Stress....

I'm SO SO SO SO SO SO glad that my lecturer did not call me out to present my answers during seminar this morning! I did not have any answers with me!

I have been so caught up with my hall stuffs and Wushu training, perhaps the only time I have to myself is spent blogging. Every night I just slam down to the bed and fall fast asleep. Mr Insomnia seldom knock on my door now. I guess that's something good!

I wrote some stuffs here, only to delete them later because I find myself finding excuses again. Ha ha!

Today I almost have to spilt myself up later:

  1. Wushu at 7pm,
  2. TWO biz mag meetings at 7.30pm,
  3. Dance at 8 pm.

Gosh, I am only but one person. I want to go for everything and make sure everything goes well but they just simply ClAsH. This has been going on for the past two weeks now and I feel so drained. I was telling Gary I hope we can spend more quality time together but I don't even have the time to find that sort of time. It's not like in the holidays when I can just push certain trivial things around for more time. I still want to place my utmost importance in my studies. Just hope all these frenzy will end soon, and fast.

My decision: To go for Wushu. 80% of how I came to this decision is because I have some responsibilities which I cannot push away over there today, 15% because it is something that I like to do.

Just a quick run through of my commitments in school.
-Hall FOC chief Biz mag
-Hall dance
-Hall Cultural Sub com
-Hall Sports Sub com
-Union FOC AGL
-NTU Wushu
-Beach Volleyball

Out of school
-Wushu that takes up my whole Sunday
-TJAC which I have been MIA for so long I'm so afraid I may be forgotten...

On top of all these, studies which I have been neglecting. I feel like I am trying to squeeze water out from dried mangoes (preferably from Philippines!) each time I try to find time to study.

Hope today's Wushu training will be good. It's one of the times where I can fulfil my commitments and at the same time relax myself.

Oh yar.

My dear MKZ.... the link you left on my tag board was linked to this web page http://www.goldenheart.blogpspot.com/
STUPID BOY!!! har har!

My dearest boy... for that late at night SMS, I keyed in the words as they came to my mind. I deleted it away soon later as I'm not going to continue ponding on those troubles, but I'm glad I poured myself out to you. As much as you have been honest to me, I want to be honest to you too.

Communication Fundamental was enjoyable today. The lecturer told of many interesting and reflective real life, "flesh and blood" (quoted) stories, something that I always love to listen. I also made a few random comments that made my friends laughed, even the lecturer was interested to know what I said! ( He didn't laugh a single bit though...he just gave the -.- look.... *booooooOOoooo* )

Stressed up, pent up, crashing but i will continue to smile!

From Joseph's MSN nick

A Willing Heart, A Willing Spirit. Listening comes from the heart. No judgement, no expectation. It's a process of love.

Good day Happy day!!!

Once again I am so glad of my amazing ability to feel happy after a good sleep!

A friend came over to visit at about 12plus in the morning/midnight??!! and we had some fun, chatting, gazing at the stars and singing songs out LOUD while walking around the campus. If anyone had seen us they might have called the wood bridge!

I was leading the way around the campus and erm... I kind of proved myself once again, the direction-less part of me. My friend knew this too well and he tried to lead the way back to hall 2 canteen. But I told him to be aaaaa-bit more adventurous. So, we ventured to the apartment side of the campus and VIOLA! We got lost. =P.

Fortunately while walking aimlessly we found our trusty 24-hours SUNMART, still operating to it's 24-hours promise and providing us warmth, comfort and relief! (It does get scary to get lost in NTU campus at 2 - 3 am in the wee hours of the morning when Bangalas are the most active...) I'm so glad I've been to SUNMART few times from my hall with Han Long and once with Gary from SRC so from then on, we were no longer lost sheeps!

We had ice-cream and made our way back to my hall through the tracks. I had to help out at some track heats at 8 plus in the morning so I wet to bed after a shower.

Did I mention before that my bed is the cleanest thing in the whole room? Possibly the cleanest bed on earth? I ALWAYS and without fail shower/ wash my feet and make sure that I am ABSOLUTELY clean before I hit the sacks. I never eat or drink on my bed and NO ONE except me (because I will make sure that I'm dirt-free) and my boyfriend ( I don't have to explain this don't I? =D) is allowed to sit at the head portion of my bed.

My bed.... The one that I spent the most time with.... My Love.... awwwww....
So people out there. Know the rules! BOON WEE!!!! GET THIS INTO YOUR COCONUT HOR!

I was the timekeeper for the heats and I just happened to be the only girl standing on the field baking under the sun. I THOUGHT I could STAY in the SHADE. I missed out my cap, left my favourite little Nike bottle in my room and I sTaRvEd all the way through the heats till lunch as I overslept and rushed out without breakfast.

But its fun keeping time and cheering for the runners. Watching them run reminded me of my primary school days when I was often chosen to run for my Ruby house. Back then I ran the 200m single, 4x200m and 2x400m relay. It was great training back then at the canal and I've got a few medals from those house competition. Perhaps I'll upload photos of them sometime~

If anyone is to ask me to run anymore of such races, I'll most probably faint from LBP or die from heart attack once the horn sounds.

Talking about the horn, I wanted to confirm with my fellow time keepers on how the horn would sound like so that I would not miss it. One said it sounded like *Poooooooooooooooo* and another said it may sound like *Pooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*. Another guy suggested perhaps it's a *Beeeeeeeeeeeeee* and the next guy came in to correct it and said it should be a *Beeeeeeeeeeeeep*. Then all of a sudden everyone just laughed at our own silliness. 8P

Back then in my primary school, they used a gun and a board and it was a *BANG!*

After which I had lunch with Silver ( I was so hungry I could eat a cow!) and she came to my room to get some dance video clip from our previous dance practise. We talked a bit and I showed her my creations (Hand made accessories) and some photos in my 'Lappy'. Silver was totally fascinated and infactuated with my glow in the dark bracelet, she just kept bringing it to the light and out of the light endless times and then bought it without any hesitation! If Silver is not asleep yet, I could imagine her doing this the whole night!

I left her in the room to take a shower and BOY was I shocked when I came back and opened the door to witness a crazy girl LITERALLY bouncing around in my room! She simply got crazy after watching those dance moves and went mad after getting freaked out by the difficulty!!! I had a really good time laughing at her before teaching her the moves step by step!

Hahaz! Dear Silver: You are just so cute in your own ways! ^.^

I was jio-ed at the tracks in the morning by Geoffrey for a volley ball training with the guys and it was great fun training with them. Chun Rong kept burping non-stop as usual and Kenneth got famous for his killer slam-through -the-nets ball! There was this part in the training where I had to keep picking up the volleyballs that they rolled to me to pass to the one standing on the bench. At that point of time I really felt like I was a productive chicken efficiently producing eggs as our hall's volleyballs are pure white and I kept picking them up from underneath the bench where I was sitting. Those repeated actions made it seemed I had just laid so many of such big eggs! *Pok Pok KEHHHH!!!!* <---ehx...the calls of a Chicken. I do not know the correct spelling...

Along the way at some point of a friendly competition among ourselves, we started talking about a stupid mistake I made at my last volleyball match.

We were at some point of the game when it was my turn to serve the ball. So, I took and ball, went to the serving position and raise my hands into my normal serving pose. All of a sudden my fellow team mates and hall pals raised the alarm and stopped me from serving! Turned out, the dummy me was serving at the wrong line!!!!! I was supposed to serve from outside the volleyball court, but as it was a indoor court also used by other ball games, I had positioned myself at the wrong line INSIDE THE COURT and ALMOST served the ball! After so many trainings and into our third match, I made such a dumb mistake for the first time!!!!

Once again the whole court was laughing at me.... as they did during my inter block volleyball match and I could hear our dear sport sec Hazel laughing the loudest..... *GRrrrrrR!!!*

*Sniff sniff...* Why does such stupid things always befall one me??!!

Apparently Kenneth remembered it so well he had another good laugh when he was being reminded of how silly I was.

HAIZZZZZ....

I could remember CLEARLY the time when I was so 'evil-ly' laughed at by Gary during our Sentosa club level outing when those words skipped my brain and slipped from my mouth. I shouted ' Please stand behind the Yehhh.....' when I only wanted to ask the Frisbee-keeper to stand behind the markings.

But Jac helped me get back at him and hit his butt already, so Dear! It's OK!

It was a good game though and I went back to hall to continue on some readings. After which I left hall for home for dinner.

P.S "YES! I have finally reached this part of my happy day!"

Here is what I am really truely happy about! Upon reaching Boon Lay interchange, I alighted the bus and walked towards the MRT control station. Along the way I noticed a lady with a stick, raising out her hand and mumbling somethings. It was out of pure curiosity that I went closer, only to find out that she is blind and needed help looking for the queue for the certain bus number that she wanted to take. I helped her and we chat a little until the bus came.

She held me hands and said a simple thank you with a warm happy smile. Guess that is all that is needed to make my day! =D

It's so good and happy to do good isn't it? =D And I'm darker now from all those activities in the morning and afternoon~

Smiles!

What the hell am I doing

It was frustrating, it was filled with anger, it was ~!@#$%^&*(), but it all makes sense and I did my reflections.

Where got people say sorry and went on to say BUT. It's so insincere. From the word 'but' onwards, the rest are all excuses. I never realised that I said all these until now. I wished someone had told me these earlier but I guess I should be glad that I wasn't told any later.

There are many other things that we talked about, many things that I felt I shouldn't have done or done wrong. It was my wrong doings. What the hell am/was I doing....

ARUGH.. nevermind.

I know what ever that is said is for my own good. Thank you and sorry Gary

I will do my best and not commit such stupid, silly, idiotic, brainless mistakes again.

Surprise Surprise!!!

Surprisingly I am still super awake to blog! And I do feel fortunate to be the type of person who always feels better after a sleep.

Anyways I have decided to skip the whole experience with the 'Tie Da Shi Fu'. All I can say is that he is next to God.

Now for the exciting part!

Boon Wee and I took a short walk around JP yesterday after our Asterisks lunch ( It is a standard practise for us to patronise the dumpling and char siew noodles stall! Together with our 30 cents drink!) and VIOLA! Who would ever dream of a WHOLE CHICKEN for TEN BUCKS from CRYSTAL JADE RESTAURANT!!!! And the best part of my deal, I was seriously short on cash and SUPER DUPER NICE BOON WUI treated me to it! It was juicy, tender and the soy sauce is just marvelous! We rushed back to my hall just to eat it and shared some with Alice. It was unanimous. The chicken is GOOD.

Oh and if you think that the chicken looks small, it's just that Boon Wee has big hands.

Hungry? XP

Lastly, and specially dedicated to our new stand-in Wushu training IC, Jun Yong, also my pet eagle and fondly called as Yong Yong, you made training fun yesterday! I PROMISE TO BRING THE V.BALL NEXT LESSON IF you remind me. Thanks! HO HO HO!!!!

Now.... dear dear bed.... here I come!

Stupid shoulder

Got stood up at 7.30am in the morning at Can 5.

What a good start for a new school term.

I was supposed to exchange books with my brother's course mate at that particular time and place, however he did not turn up and sent me a SMS instead. Well, he said there was a miscommunication and thought that we are meeting in the afternoon instead.

Fortunately I still got the books in the end and he was kind enough to send it all the way to my hall as my injured shoulder is really giving me too much pain and frustration.

Although I am quite apprehensive of the PaIn people always say when they visit a 'Tei Da Shi Fu' but I am only thinking about the relief I can get from the visit. The ache and pain in my right shoulder is causing my sleep and somehow giving me headaches. I can't seem to find any sleeping position that can ease the ache... AruGh!!!!

DADDY PLEASE COME QUICKLY AND BRING ME TO THE CHINESE PHYSICIST!!!!!!

A night out with HL!!!!

MAuAhHAHAhahahh!!!!!

A SMS from Xue'er: "Don't worry! Next time I will help u bully him back and tell him to treat all this daughters equally!"

A minute later off I am happily, grinning from ear to ear with a paper bag that contains that 15 bucks dress from GL Han Long Papa!!!!!

It all started off when Xue'er gave HL a care bear for christmas completed with hand sewn little clothings and a snow cap. So out of playful jealousy, I asked HL why didn't I get anything from our dear Xue'er. HL shyly explained perhaps it's because he bought this skirt for her in the last time we went Malaysia together. Then I continued to probe with serious jealousy, why is it that Xue'er gets a skirt from him and I did not. So he patiently explained that it's because he knew that Xue'er is writting letters for all of us. It was then when I hit the Jackpot!

Why?

Because I did write a 'dunnoe how many pages long' letter for him and made a 'Ma Nao' keychain for him before.....AND I DID NOT GET ANY SKIRT!!!!

BIAS!!!! PAPA IS BIAS!!!!

That's what I exclaimed, and that's how I got this beautiful dress! It's really a great deal though! The material is good (as what HL says) and its only $15 bucks!!! And the best deal for me? I didn't have to pay a single cent!

THANKS HL PAPA!!!! Your daughters love you!!!!

I bought another dress along with this. I must really say HL is a shopping expert and his past relationship really did pay off! With his help, we managed to slash the price of this particular dress from 37 bucks to 29 bucks! A WHOPPING 8 dollars discount! Whats more, he helped check all the threadings and material for both dresses, including the stitch endings and such! I am a super easy going person and wouldn't mind small matters such as stains or bad stitch endings but I'm so surprised!/shocked?/delighted!!! because with HL around deals seem so great!

Anyway, I found this picture while uploading those dress pictures and thought I should upload this as well. Its a picture of a portion of my desk in my Hall. I was just demonstrating to Han Qi Mama what it means by ISO and how it affects the colours and brightness of photographs. Just love the colours!

I'm going off to 'Tui Na' my injured shoulder later. It turned for the worst and it's abit swollen from the inside. My mom suspects its infection so guess its better to get something done about it.

Just hope the 'Tui Na Shi Fu' will be kind on me... *BoOooo... sobs sobs...*

The Last V.ball Match... and Ice Skating!!!

I had my last V.ball match against Hall 8 early this morning. It was a match that could have been won. On the contrary, we lost, and to ourselves instead.

There was much to learn:
  • Unity was present but we lacked practise and communication.
  • Everyone was overly stressed and pent up over the last few points so much so that we delivered too many out-of-court balls.
  • On top of this... perhaps we've, or more specifically, I've over stressed my star player in the game.

It was a difficult and depressing match for her and our in the end out last photograph wasn't complete. She left hastily, angry with herself.

I'm angry with myself too.

There are too many things in life and as Murphy's law goes, everything always goes wrong at the same time. I do not have the tendency to blame and be angry with people, but I tend to blame the situation and the way things happens. However, these are the things that cannot be changed or helped either and there is no point squabbling over them. In the end, there's no one left but myself. I'll keep pounding on what I could have done, what I did not do and what I've done wrongly. It's more practical then, in this sense, as these are the things that can be changed and I may have the chance to overwrite them. But it makes one feel the worst. Really.

On the brighter side, Ice Skating with my Wushu Club was totally enjoyable! Not to mention there was the usual clique of people around making all my favourite jokes! Ah Mok was unusually fun and noisy today, perhaps its because there wasn't my wushu girl's league Vice-Chair, Jac, around...(OoPs!!!).

Then there was my PaPa, our ex-national team player was really good at it and taught me some moves. I think I'll practise the next time I enter the rink again. Just just JUST VIEW upon the MIGHT of having a Singapore Flag on the left side of your jacket. You could do anything and everything! My PaPa can hold a sword on his right hand and a spear on his left hand, then skate on the ice and do 720 degrees Xuan Zi, land perfectly on his skates and then go up for another round of Xuan Feng Tui! Our national anthem would sing in pride of him! (Papa had just humbly commented that I was exaggerating BUT I swear he was just nice and being humble =D)

Well of course....He is my PAPA and my PAPA could do anything!

MaMa on the other hand was a bit wobbly...but that's besides the point.

Gary...he was busy practising and achieving his dream of making a really huge snowball. Of course, he'll never have good intentions in making such things! -.- I hope he doesn't see this! But if it's his dream I'd gladly be his accomplice

I'll upload the pictures ASAP when I get my hands on them!

We were treated to MacDonald's and left for Daiso. Too bad I was unwell (really unwell) to have dinner with them after that and left for home.

That's all for now. I'm running a slight fever and its been a really long day. I'm heading for my beauty sleep now! Night!

The Joy of Walking Aimlessly ^.^

*Listening to 我很想爱他 by Twins*

It has been eons’ since I last went out alone, randomly choosing an area and then wonder aimlessly around. Since my bag wasn’t really repacked from the last day of 2007, (which I’m glad I did not so) the camera and tripod was still sitting obediently in my sling bag, waiting anxiously for me to pick it up again!

I took a few random photos including the sculpture placed in the center of a small fountain outside Mandarin Hotel. The second picture was taken later in the night while taking the same route but with Gary’s company this time. Honestly I’ve never realized the beauty of Esplanade’s durian like thorns until I opened up the picture on my computer later! Its blue lights truly added a touch to the background! Durians can only taste as fabulous!

I found this ‘fragment’ of esplanade a few hundred meters away…guess some irresponsible person threw the husk out of the window. *Grrrrrr!!!* May Karma befall on whoever he is!Oh…notice the golden circular plates hung below? It contains someone’s wishes and more of them are hung around Marina square. They remind me of the wish Gary wrote on the big yellow floating ball…^.^ (HIS WISH includes his USUAL ****** jokes that everyone enjoys…)

As I walked further down, the uncompleted Ferris wheel came into sight. The pictures taken weren’t presentable at all so I’m not posting them up…but I can’t wait for its construction to complete! Round and round, up and down…it’s so similar to life…just that there is someone taking the ride with you and you are not alone, and that when you smile there is someone right beside you…smiling with you too. Scenery shared with someone special always seem more beautiful.

Looks familiar? You've most probably seen it after coming up from City Link towards Marina Square!

Hopefully we’ll get to admire next year’s decorations together again!
Some back post: I took this picture while walking around Orchard after watching AVP. The Christmas decorations are still on and I guess this year’s theme was something like White Christmas…truly beautiful!!! I really liked this tin-man, too bad I wasn’t able to take it home with me…

This photograph was taken in Marina Square as we were heading towards the food court to watch the fireworks display.

Oh… I forgot to mention that both Alien Vs Predators and The National Treasure are great movies; watched them this week. I am a easy to please girl so I’m giving AVP a 4 Star for both alien and human casts and 4.5 Stars for TNT for its non-stop humorous entertainment. My 5 stars is still reserved for The Lion King so… gomenasai! XP

So…is anybody on for Alvin and the Chipmunks? =D
